Bill Murrathon @ Young Henrys | Newtown

By now, most sydneysiders should have heard of Young Henrys or tried the brew. I think it was a year ago when I was introduced, having had their real ale at Midnight Special. Well, the brewery has a tasting bar, and they do events here. On the occasion of billmurrathon, J+Co dropped in for a squizz.

You can glimpse the brewery beyond. It still amazes me that there’s a brewery in Newtown.

Space for the band. The morrisons. Country/folk. Quite fun.

Bill Murrathon is still on, this coming saturday, you can pop into Young Henry’s at noon to celebrate Bill Murray’s Birthday. Its so funny how BM has become more and more of an iconoclast the older he gets but its great. I purchased a great looking @splegs’s print here. Young Henry’s Brewery and its associated tasting bar is a really funky place to drop in grab a beer. I didn’t get around to grabbing a growler this time but I’m looking forward to it. If you quite fancy visiting a brewery and scouting out where this local brew is made, drop in. The tasting bar is open 10-7pm Monday to Saturday. Its not hard to get to and you’ll see some interesting street art and graff on the way here.
